I can't make this up people. This is a diagram from a test-readiness book. This is part of the lesson that they are suppose to teach students. The point of using an open array/area model diagram is to see the place value and partial products. They completely ignore it!!! What was the actual problem that they were trying to work out? #mathpractices #mathteacher #mathintherealworld #precisemath
